Being an independent business operator and professional working outside the bounds of a large company can be a daunting and sometimes isolating experience. The responsibility and sometimes frightening prospect of solely responsible for success is of course off-set by the freedom of being one's own boss.

About a year ago I began the process of putting together a group of independent professionals that have the highest ethical standards and same business philosphy, which centers on customer satisfaction. One of the purposes of the group is to serve as a referral base for new customers, but most importantly, it is to get together and discuss business infrastructure issues like marketing, advertising, web use and to host special speakers in order to educate ourselves.

AccessLA is the name we gave ourselves because we hope to become a virtual rolodex of professionals, each representing a different field of expertise. The thought is that if you have a great experience with one professional in the group, as a customer you could come to the site (http://access-la.net/) for other needs and have the same quality service and customer satisfaction driven experience.

Currently, we have representatives from the fields of architecture, body therapy, garden design, interior design, mortgage banking, legal services, and real estate broker. We are looking for other qualified independent professionals to be a part of our group. If you are a highly ethical business person, on your own, no matter what the field, we'd like to talk to you and see if there is a fit both you and the group. We are especially interested in the fields of insurance, accounting, personal training, financial planning, tax, dietitian, handyman, graphic designer, web designer and pilates instructor.

Once we have a critical mass in membership, we will seek to brand "AccessLA" as the one stop shop for professional services in the greater Los Angeles area. If you are interested, please contact me.
